The ISEO group’s acquisition of Locken: the path to winning synergies
In April 2016, Locken became part of the ISEO Group. Two and a half years after the acquisition, the results are highly promising. Products have been fully incorporated and the teams have been assigned to complementary segments to allow each entity to build on its longstanding markets.  This strategy has already harvested a number of success stories. Locken founders were from the telecoms and IT industries which helped the company to forge a reputation for delivering a unique array of services and software solutions in the market.

Ever since its inception in 2003, Locken has enabled its customers to maximise their ROI by gearing its solutions towards their specific activities and processes. Despite setting the gold standard in intelligent key-based standalone cable-free access control systems and achieving leadership status in the French, English and Spanish markets, Locken was determined to embrace the latest innovative technologies used by the sector’s top-tier organisations by joining forces with a powerful group to make inroads into new international markets.

Meanwhile, the ISEO Group had developed several patents for electronic lock systems. It had recently succeeded in staying well ahead of the innovation curve by pioneering a range of intelligent keys and contactless electronic cylinders. ISEO was keen to synergise its new technological breakthrough with Locken software and services expertise and thereby broaden the market for electronic access control systems.

Driven by both groups’ expertise and Locken experience in leading ambitious access control projects, this cutting-edge solution is already being rolled out in over 30,000 sites across Europe, especially for major energy and transport organisations. The solution boasts optimum reliability and speed while improving resistance to external conditions, since the electronic key and cylinder communicate by means of an induced magnetic field, rather than through electric contact.  Compliant with the most stringent standards governing protection against water and dust (IP66 to IP69) and compatible with ATEX explosive atmospheres, the solution is managed by Locken services and software, and can be installed in countless sectors of activity, even those facing the highest risks.
