Badge cylinder

LOCKEN electronic cylinders and padlocks are superior replacements for any badge cylinder model that operates with RFID or Mifare electronic cards.

The LOCKEN access control solution is based on a unique smart electronic key, electronic cylinders, access right distributors and a software suite enabling communication between the various solution components.

It offers numerous advantages over badge cylinder based solutions:

As with a badge cylinder, the LOCKEN electronic cylinder requires no cabling and is very easy to install as a replacement for conventional mechanical cylinders. It does however have many more benefits than the badge cylinder, because its power source is outside the cylinder: it receives power on contact with the key and does not require a battery that has to be replaced when spent.

Moreover, with the LOCKEN electronic cylinder there is no limit on the number of users with access to a cylinder, whereas the badge cylinder can only read around one hundred user cards.

Feedback of information on events linked to each cylinder can be obtained from any LOCKEN electronic key, whereas in the case of the badge cylinder, information has to be collected using a specific badge that retrieves the data from each cylinder.

LOCKEN’s priority goal is to understand each customer’s security issues and operational requirements and to provide an appropriate solution, whether plug & play or custom.

LOCKEN offers its customers high quality products and services that are safe, reliable and competitively priced. Full customer satisfaction is the prime corporate goal and all LOCKEN teams have a sense of duty and commitment in achieving this.
