SIEA Access Control: A major project

The access control project was ambitious in scale with more than 500 remote street cabinets and collection points protected with electronic cylinders and padlocks customised to SIEA’s access settings. Every year, they secure access on around 30,000 occasions for maintenance technicians and officers, almost 90% of whom are infrastructure sub-contractors.

The security project for our optical fibre infrastructures involved many sites and many contractors, which all had to be managed,” said SIEA's Infrastructures and Deployment Manager on completion of the first installation phase. “Locken’s extensive product range allowed us to find the best-fit solutions for all our requirements. The project manager, our personal contact at Locken, was always on hand to help and clearly understood our needs, providing the appropriate answers
